Pool Position: Scorebook
Privacy policy
Effective November 3, 2026
What the app stores, and where
Books (player names, cars, sets, racks, halls, hall photos and settings) are stored in Apple's iCloud using CloudKit, in the iCloud account of the person who created the book. When you invite someone, Apple shares that book with them. Nothing is sent to servers run by the developer, because there aren't any.
A copy is kept on your iPhone so the app works offline, and a small summary is saved for the app's widgets and Live Activity.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your location while it's open to pick the pool hall you're at, show that hall's scene, and pin a hall's location. The app asks first, in its own words, and works without it: you can pick the hall yourself. Your location is used on your device only. A hall's saved location is stored in the book like any other hall detail.
Photos
The app only sees photos you choose to add to a hall. They're stored in the book in iCloud.
Apple Music
If you use the jukebox, the app asks for access to Apple Music to play the book's playlist through the Music app. It doesn't read or store your library.
What the app doesn't do
No accounts with the developer, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no selling or sharing of data.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Setup and choose Delete this book (if you created it) or Leave this book (if you were invited). Deleting the app removes its copy on your iPhone. You can also manage iCloud data in Settings › your name › iCloud.
Children
The app isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
