Privacy policy

Short version: ProSim doesn't collect any data about you. Your profile and records are kept on your device and in your own iCloud account. There are no ads, no tracking and no accounts with the developer.

What the app stores, and where

Your player profile, your records against the computer, your achievements and a few settings are saved on your device and synced to your own iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, in ProSim's own iCloud container. Only you can see that data; the developer can't. Nothing is sent to servers run by the developer, because there aren't any.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Game Center, ProSim uses it for your player name, achievements, leaderboards and playing with friends. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; scores and achievements you post there can be seen by the players Game Center shows them to. You can play without Game Center.

Playing on your network

If you allow local network access, ProSim finds your Apple TV and the other iPhone at your table on the same Wi-Fi so you can play together. The game's moves go directly between your devices.

Pool Position: Scorebook

If you also use Pool Position: Scorebook on the same iPhone, the two apps can share your book on the device, so racks you play in ProSim can count in your Scorebook. That sharing stays on your device.

Apple Music and microphone

If you use the jukebox, the app asks for access to Apple Music to play your playlist. It doesn't read or store your library. If the app ever asks for the microphone, it's to record the sounds of your own table for the game when you start a recording, and the recordings stay on your device.

What the app doesn't do

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, no accounts with the developer, and no selling or sharing of data. If that ever changes, for example anonymous usage counts to improve the game, this policy and the App Store's privacy details will be updated first.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data on your device. To remove ProSim's data from iCloud, open Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage storage (or Storage), choose ProSim, and delete its data. Game Center data is managed in Settings › Game Center.

Children

The app isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
